Lucy and Phil came to me via a personal recommendation after being let down by the photographer they had previously booked. Whatever his reasons were for doing that it was most certainly his loss as far as I’m concerned.
Lucy and Phil were the loveliest couple to work with and their wedding at Aldwick Court Farm was a wonderfully relaxed occasion full of love and warmth.
Coverage started with Lucy’s preparations at a nearby hotel, nearby enough that I was able to nip off and capture some of the guys’ preparations at Aldwick Court itself.
The ceremony was an emotional one and Phil seemed particularly moved by the commitment he was making. Something I always like to see.
The day started cloudy and damp but I performed my secret fair weather ritual and by the afternoon it was clear and sunny. So, Lucy, Phil and I disappeared into the vineyards for a short while to capture some relaxed portraits of the happy couple.
With the wedding breakfast done and dusted, talented singer and guitarist Pat McIntyre provided musical entertainment for guests to dance off some calories to, before the evening proper kicked off with a rather louder musical act!
Here are some of my favourites from Lucy and Phil’s day.
Getting married at Aldwick Court and want the story of your day told in creative, stylish images without it becoming a photoshoot? Please get in touch, I’d love to speak to you.
