It was back to the delightful St Audries Park for Sarah and Ray’s wedding. Having got married at St Audries myself, going back to document someone else’s big day is always special.
I’d met Sarah and Ray back in 2010 for a pre-wedding shoot and I knew they’d be a delight to work with. They were completely on board with my style of photography and gave me the freedom to do what I do best, predominantly reportage coverage with a little time for some more directed and creative portraits.
For a late Winter/early Spring wedding we were very fortunate with the weather. It was bright in the morning but the low sun was softened by cloud for most of the day which cleared slightly a little later making for a beautiful sunset and some lovely shots of the house and gardens. And, of course, the short day made for a cosy atmosphere in the house.
Live singing played a big part in Sarah and Ray’s day with guests performing for them during the ceremony and register signing, during their first dance and following that by a Michael Bublé tribute performer. Obviously a couple after my own heart with a great appreciation of live musical talent.
Here are some of my favourites from the day. Comments are always welcome.
