I was delighted when Jarrod and Leanne asked me if I would do the photography for their wedding at Clevedon Hall in Somerset. I’ve known Jarrod for many years, since we were both teenagers in fact and he started playing in bands with my brother. He’s a man of many talents and an all-round entertainer, but more than that, he’s a man who exudes warmth, great humour and a genuine passion for life. So nobody was happier than me to hear that the lovely Leanne was going to make an honest man of him.
I suspected that music would play a leading role in the day in one form or another and so it proved. The Beatles inspired cake, the record “motif” table plan……the attention to detail was amazing, even down to every guest having a personalised “favour” with a photo of the artist on the inside of the box that was at number 1 in the charts on the day they were born. How could you not be impressed with that?
My favourite part of the day though was Jarrod serenading his new wife during his speech. No big surprise to anyone who knows him perhaps, but I don’t think I was the only one taken aback when half the guests suddenly whipped out instruments from under the tables to accompany him. Just wonderful stuff and a genuine pleasure to document.
Here are some of my favourites images from the day.
